AajTak is a Hindi News app which allows you to listen to breaking news and headlines that are being broadcasted on the AajTak channel on your Smartphone. It is a decent app but has a somewhat crowded layout. This news app hasn't been designed intuitively and finding the different options is not that easy. Unlike other news apps that make it easier for the users to locate the various news items, AajTak makes it even more difficult to find the content you are looking for. I, for one, did not have a pleasant experience using this app and wasn't satisfied with its layout and user-interface.

Although the layout of this Hindi news app isn't the best, it does provide you access to all the latest news that is happening around the country. The important news items are present on the main window of the app in the form of short videos. Other options that are offered by the app are also listed on this main window. I liked the fact that all the important news was available in short video format on the app but the way it was presented was somewhat distracting. It wasn't easy for me to concentrate on the news items because of this and I had to close down the app after a few seconds of use.

There is a drop-down menu located at the top-left of the app's main window. I had to look around for a while before I was finally able to find it. This drop-down menu provides you a list of the new categories that the app has to offer. This is from where you can navigate the app in an easier manner. You can find separate categories for latest news, breaking news, Bollywood news, Hollywood news, international news, videos and photos from this drop-down menu. You will just have to tap on a category and you will be directed to that window of the app. Using AajTak became a lot simpler when I located this nifty little option.

The AajTak app offers separate categories for videos and photos. You can choose them from the drop-down menu that is available to you. The videos are of the important news items that have been broadcasted on the TV channel throughout the day. The photos, on the other hand, are mostly from entertainment news that is being highlighted by the TV channel. There are sharing options available for you in the photos section. You can choose to share the photos available on the app on WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter.

One of the best features of this Hindi news app was the Live TV option. You are given the chance to view the live broadcast of the AajTak channel on your Smartphone on the go. The playback of the channel was quite good and I was able to stream it without encountering any lag or delay whatsoever. It was one of the most pleasing aspects of the whole experience of using this app. The live footage was crisp and the audio was clear too. You can find the option of the Live TV on the top-right of the app's main window.

The breaking news section of this Hindi news app can be viewed by choosing its option from the drop-down menu. You can find all the latest and breaking news happening at that instant from this section of the app.

Conclusion:

While the AajTak news app delivered a great Live TV option it failed to impress me. This app asked for a number of unnecessary permission too which was frustrating, to say the least. However, if latest news is what you want then it might prove to be a suitable app for you.
